AceShowbiz - British royal family publicly ignored Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's daughter Lilibet's birthday. The official social media account to the royal family failed to post about Lilibet's 2nd birthday, which fell on Sunday, June 4.

According to a source, King Charles III and Queen Camilla wouldn't share any official birthday wishes for Lili on social media because they "don't mark the birthdays of non-working members." The insider told OK! Magazine U.K., "They, of course, wish Lilibet a very happy birthday, but nothing will be put out on any channels."

While King Charles opted to ignore Lilibet's birthday allegedly due to her status, Queen Elizabeth II handled it differently last year. The late Queen, who died in September 2022 at the age of 96, wished Lilibet a happy 1st birthday. "Wishing Lilibet a very Happy 1st Birthday!" Lili's great-grandmother shared via her official social media account at the time.

The rest of the royals, including Charles, Prince William and Kate Middleton, followed suit by giving Lilibet public birthday wishes. This year, however, the Windsor family went radio silent as they didn't post any birthday tribute for the young princess.

Despite the snub, Harry and Meghan reportedly prepared an "all-American affair" in California to celebrate Lilibet's big day. "I would expect to see a sprinkling of celebrities and a laid-back party, which hopefully will include some other toddlers," royal expert and journalist Jennie Bond told OK! Magazine U.K. ahead of the special day.

"It would be nice to think the day might include a video call to Lilibet's grandfather, King Charles III, and hopefully some sort of gift has been arranged and will be delivered to Montecito for her birthday," the informant continued.

Another report, however, claimed that King Charles had prepared a birthday gift for Lilibet. A source told New Idea that the British monarch "had his aides looking at custom-made cubby houses, similar to what the Queen and Princess Margaret had when they were girls."
