AceShowbiz - Kelly Ripa narrowly avoided a wardrobe malfunction before stepping onstage for "Live with Kelly and Mark". In the Wednesday, May 31 episode of the talk show, the host revealed that she had "a small wardrobe emergency backstage."

Recalling the mishap, Kelly told her co-host and husband Mark Consuelos, "It was very exciting." While fumbling with the front of her dress, the TV personality went on to exclaim, "I almost did not walk out here!"

Mark later jokingly said that he was "wondering how that was going to go." Her wife, who was still attempting to tie her pink dress, playfully replied that she could hear her husband "clawing" at her dressing room door ahead of the show.

He revealed that he was contemplating how to "stretch" the opening to give Kelly some time before she could join him. The "Riverdale" actor later said that he was getting "drunk with power" at the idea of being able to turn their talk show into "anything" with his wife's absence.

Kelly didn't elaborate on what kind of issues she faced, but thankfully she managed to handle the wardrobe emergency in time.

The 52-year-old TV personality had another wardrobe malfunction last month. Interestingly, it also happened when she wore the same outfit.

In the April 18 episode, the "Live Wire: Long-Winded Short Stories" author's outfit ripped as she and Mark learned a dance with "Dancing with the Stars" pros Valentin Chmerkovskiy and Jenna Johnson. The seam of her hot pink fit popped open when Mark went to dip Kelly onto his knee.

Panicking, Kelly asked at the time, "Did the entire back of my dress rip? It's just a breakaway dress!" Showing Kelly the string, her husband, who replaced Ryan Seacrest as Kelly's co-host in April, later reassured her that the dress ripped "just a little bit."
