AceShowbiz - Ice Cube refused to stay silent amid backlash over his recent comment. The "21 Jump Street" actor was criticized by an online troll after expressing his displeasure with AI in hip-hop, but it didn't take long for the emcee to offer his clapback.

For the record, Ice Cube criticized AI when appearing on the "Full Send" podcast. "I think AI is gonna get a backlash from real people, real organic people," he said. "I think artists need to go back to using their real voice, and making sure people know this is authentic, and not made from a computer."

Someone was not feeling Ice Cube's comment though. The said individual suggested that the emcee was being hypocritical regarding AI in music since he had no problem sampling.

"Ice Cube, musician who became famous rapping over samples, says A.I. is 'demonic,' " the user wrote on Twitter. "@icecube said that if he were to be targeted by an A.I. voice replicant, he wouldn't hesitate to sue whoever programmed the A.I. and whoever played his illicitly borrowed voice."

Catching wind of the critic's post, Ice Cube explained, "Samples are approved or denied by the song owners. Totally different than taking a dead artist and making a new song they never approved and saying things they may not agree with." He then stressed, "That's evil and demonic to me."
