The actress, who starred alongside the Oscar winner on 'The Jamie Foxx Show', says it's 'hurtful' to read false report about his former co-star's condition following his 'medical complication.'

AceShowbiz - Jamie Foxx's friend Garcelle Beauvais has blasted false report on the actor's health following his hospitalization last month. While she had access to "the right information," the actress said it was "hurtful" to read "horrible rumor" about her friend's condition.

"The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills" star spoke with PEOPLE about the conflicting reports on Jamie's health at the 6th Annual Best Buddies' Celebration of Mothers. "I've spoken to the family, and I don't want to say much because they're the ones to say it, but it broke my heart that this horrible rumor [about Jamie's health] was running around," she said at the event held in Pacific Palisades, California, on Saturday evening, May 13.

The actress, who starred alongside Jamie on "The Jamie Foxx Show" before reuniting in "White House Down", added, "... I immediately got the right information, [but] I just think people can't run with stuff like that. It's hurtful to so many people." Asked if she was able to pass well wishes to her friend, she said, "Yeah, for sure."

Jamie's daughter Corinne Foxx revealed that her father has been "has been out of the hospital for weeks" after report surfaced that his family prepared for "the worst." The 29-year-old posted on her Instagram Story on Friday, "Update from the family: Sad to see how the media runs wild. My Dad has been out of the hospital for weeks, recuperating."

She added, "In fact, he was playing pickleball yesterday! Thanks for everyone's prayers and support! We have an exciting work announcement coming next week too!"

This prompted Daily Loud to issue an apology for publishing the false report. "We would like to apologize for the misinformation regarding Jamie Foxx's condition we unfortunately thought the source we had was real but it was not," it said in a statement.

The outlet continued, "We are sorry to Jamie and his family for our actions here and continue to wish him nothing but good health. Sorry for letting our followers down as well. We will do better in the future and will make sure every source is properly fact-checked from here on."
