AceShowbiz - Chloe Bailey showed support to her sister Halle Bailey as she attended the premiere of "The Little Mermaid (2023)" in Los Angeles on Monday, May 8. Joining other stars at the much-awaited Disney movie's premiere, Chloe looked gorgeous when gracing the blue carpet at the event.
For the occasion, the 24-year-old wore a sultry yellow gown that hugged her curves. She flashed her cleavage with a sexy crystal cutout while showing off her natural afro hair.
As for Halle, the main character of the night perfectly captured Princess Ariel's magic as the singer, who portrays the iconic Disney character in the live-action flick, arrived in a spectacular blue metallic fishtail dress. The dress additionally had the shell detailings around the chest.
The two siblings were undeniably stunning that night, but Internet users were more focused on Chloe's hair look. Trolling the "In Pieces" artist, one person commented on Instagram, "Now Chloe why would you wear that on your head besides that everyone looks so nice and fitting for the movie colors!"
Another user wrote, "Chloe I know you probably didn't wanna get a re-twist, but baby this is The little mermaid not The lion king." Similarly, someone else said, "the hair…. meanwhile Halle looked stunning." Another comment, meanwhile, read, "I just want to know why the hair stylist set my girl up like this!!"
The criticism aside, fans gushed over the siblings' sweet moment. "One thing about Chloe and Halle is they gone step for each other," a fan said. "This how family should ride for each other," one other noted, with one other writing, "I love the support and love from these two queens."
In an interview with Entertainment Tonight, Chloe said that she's so excited for Halle's milestone. "I've been trying to not cry every time I think about it," Chloe admitted. "I'm the only one who hasn't seen it 'cause I've been on tour when they had the early screenings and I just I gotta get tissues with me."
The one half of Chloe x Halle continued, "I'm so freaking proud of her! I have been seeing billboards and magazines of her everywhere and I am just so freaking proud."
Of Halle's new status as a certified Disney princess, Chloe said, "She didn't have to do much training for that. Like, she's always been that sweet [girl]... So the stars aligned. I feel like all her life she's been preparing for this role."
