AceShowbiz - Kim Kardashian brought a special companion to this year's Met Gala. On Monday, May 1, the SKIMS founder was photographed heading to Vogue's glitzy 2023 gala alongside her daughter North West, who made her debut at the biggest fashion event of the year.

For the 2023 Met Gala, which theme was "Karl Lagerfeld: A Line of Beauty", Kim opted to honor the fashion icon in a corseted Schiaparelli gown draped in strands of pearls. The high neckline of the gown featured a silver ornate choker while a break in pearls revealed the gown's satin corset midsection.

"I wanted pearls, I thought what is more Karl [than] the iconic Chanel pearls? The iconic pearls is what I thought of so we wanted to be dripping in pearls," "The Kardashians" star, who swept her brunette strands into a sleek updo for the event, told Vogue on the red carpet. "I just wanted to feel glamorous, I really didn't feel the pressure."

The reality star added that North, whom she shares with ex-husband Kanye West, gathered some of the gems that fell off prior to hitting the steps. Kim also noted that while the 9-year-old didn't walk the red carpet with her, she "is actually in the car watching us all walk up the red carpet." In a picture that circulated online, North dressed in a taupe suit jacket and blue jeans for her Met Gala debut.

Kim wasn't the only one from her famous family to attend the annual event. Kylie Jenner turned heads as she arrived at Metropolitan Museum of Art wearing a red Jean Paul Gaultier asymmetric dress with a matching two-toned robe. The fiery dress, that perfectly accentuated her body goals, featured a thigh-high slit and blue satin lining.

The Kylie Cosmetics founder, who rocked a giant off-white wedding gown complete with baseball hat and veil last year, styled her hair in a messy updo. The TV star apparently wanted everyone to focus on her dress by keeping her jewelry more muted as she only wore simple, dazzling earrings.
