AceShowbiz - Paris Hilton is reported to be over the moon. The former star of "The Simple Life" has finally gotten the chance to make her Met Gala debut in 2023 after receiving an invitation for the fashion's biggest event.

Various sources informed TMZ that the 42-year-old received an honorary invitation from Vogue and a designer who will be prepping her ensemble for the prestigious event. While the socialite is said to be available to attend, the name of the big designer whom she will be working with has not been unveiled.

Paris reportedly would come to the Monday, May 1 event at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York after attending a conference about the new Stop Institutional Child Abuse Act which would be held in Washington, D.C.

The theme for the 2023 Met Gala is "Karl Lagerfeld: A Line of Beauty" as a tribute to the late Chanel creative director and his career that spanned from 1954 to his passing at the age of 85 in 2019. The gala will be co-chaired by Penelope Cruz, Michaela Coel, Roger Federer, Dua Lipa and Vogue's Anna Wintour.

Aside from Paris, the likes of Kim Kardashian, Priyanka Chopra and Elle Fanning are also expected to make their appearance. Elle, in particular, has gushed over her planned look. To Variety, she spilled, "I had an idea kind of quickly, I have to say."

"I sort of sketch everything out, so I did a little sketch - an homage to Karl Lagerfeld, of course. I am truly going on theme," the 25-year-old actress further elaborated. "I have a good story behind the look that is special to me. I'm excited."

Meanwhile, a report of Paris, who was famously known to be good friends with Karl, making her debut at the 2023 Met Gala came around one week after she expressed her gratitude for having Carter Reum in her life. "I feel so lucky to have found you at the perfect time. You're just the best," she gushed when making an appearance together with her husband on the "I Am Paris" podcast.

The "Cooking with Paris" star, who welcomed her first child with Carter in January 2023 via surrogate, additionally marveled, "He literally just melts my heart. My heart just feels so full, like my life is so complete now."
