AceShowbiz - Amanda Bynes has been photographed for the first time in public after being released from a mental hospital. The "She's the Man" star, who was placed on a psychiatric hold after wandering the streets naked, was caught on camera getting a manicure in California.

The 37-year-old got the beauty treatment at Cosmo Nails in Toluca Lake on Wednesday, April 12. After leaving the establishment, eyewitnesses told Daily Mail that she waited for an Uber while smoking a cigarette.

In a picture obtained by the outlet, Amanda, who shot to fame as a child actress on Nickelodeon and but quit showbusiness more than a decade ago following a series of personal struggles, could be seen wearing a white T-shirt. She accessorized her outfit with a headband.

Amanda was placed on psychiatric hold in a mental health ward after she was found wandering the streets naked and alone in the early hours of the morning in mid-February. She was then released after spending three weeks there.

Sources told TMZ that the actress was "ready to get back to her day-to-day life" and will "live in her own home," as she did before the incident. In doing so, it is thought the she will "keep much of the independence" she gained following the termination of her conservatorship.

Of the incident when she allegedly walked around without her clothes on, an eyewitness told Entertainment Tonight, "Amanda was wandering alone on Hollywood Blvd. at around 1 A.M. No one really recognized her or noticed her." The eyewitness added, "She was walking tensely and by herself. A woman started walking with her and tried to help her. Amanda asked the woman to hold her."

"Amanda seemed to be in a loving, wholesome mood [but] seemed as though she was out of it. She asked to be dropped off at her friend's place in Beverly Hills," the unnamed informant continued. "When the woman went to drop her off, Amanda's friend did not answer. Amanda said she did not want to go home and noted that her boyfriend kicked her out. Amanda then asked to be dropped back off on Hollywood Blvd., and the woman obliged."
