While promoting new Amazon Prime Video's series 'Swarm', the one half of RnB duo Chloe x Halle dives deep into the mixed blessings of being popular on social media.

AceShowbiz - Chloe Bailey has shared her views on social media fame. The one half of the R&B duo Chloe x Halle admitted that while she was thankful the platform connected her with fans, she still needed some time away from it.

The protege of Beyonce Knowles was promoting "Swarm" when she was asked what she hoped viewers would pick up from her new Amazon Prime Video series. Quickly pointing out on healthy social media use, she explained, "You know, for me and how I practice being healthy in terms of the social media world, sometimes I have to step away from it."

Acknowledging that her social media fame was a "huge blessing" to her, the 24-year-old artist explained, "Because of it, there's people who know about me, I can connect with my fans online, and that's how people discovered my sister and I from YouTube." She added, "I know I would not be here and be able to do what I love, make money off of it, and live off of it without social media, right?"

Still, Chloe conceded that the fame she found from social media worked like a double-edged sword. "Now also, with anything good comes bad. People are completely entitled to have any opinions about anything," she pointed out, "and I have to come to terms that I can't please everybody."

The Atlanta native continued noting what matters most. "In everyday life, I just want everyone to feel comfortable, almost to the point where I'll sacrifice my comfortability," she said. "But I think the past year and a half, I'm like, 'You know what? I know God's proud of me, I'm proud of me,' and I'm just happy people are talking."

Chloe would be seen acting alongside Dominique Fishback in "Swarm", which will premiere on March 17. She took the role of Marissa, the sister of Dominique's Dre. In a separate interview with LAMag, she spilled on her first reaction to the script of the Donald Glover-directed series.

"I broke down in tears and my mouth was wide open. One, I didn't expect that to go down the first episode or two, there was so much of myself within Marissa that I resonated with and parts of me that I’ve been scared to show in any other way than the music I could show and share it with Marissa," she explained. "I think this role is meant for me."

Acting aside, Chloe has also been hard at work on her debut solo album, "In Pieces", and its accompanying tour. "In Pieces" will be out on March 31.
