AceShowbiz - Joey Badass has finally unleashed the "Show Me" music video. For the new visuals, which arrived on Wednesday, March 1, the Brooklyn rapper enlisted Serayah and they become a loved-up couple in the clip.
In the footage, the 28-year-old emcee and his on-screen girlfriend can be seen cozying up in their bedroom, trading blunts and enjoying a boat trip together. Throughout the clip, he serenades his partner with flowery rhymes.
"Can't spell 'us' without 'trust'/ Put the lust aside, there's some things we gotta discuss," Joey spits. "So close your legs for a bit, baby, let's open up/ Closed mouths don't get fed finishing lunch, her panties in a bunch."
Of the music video, Joey told Complex, "The visual is kind of symbolic of what's next in my career." He added, "Aside from the cinematic appeal, you get a taste of what truly inspires my music. Fashion, film, music and my love for the culture are all at the forefront of my vision. I think all those elements including my appreciation for women and my commitment to truly showing them love are apparent in the video."
It's unclear whether Joey and Serayah are dating in real life. The first sparked romance rumors after he posted a picture of the two having dinner, which was taken from the music video.
Serayah, however, had publicly dated Jacob Latimore since 2019. She later addressed their relationship status on Instagram Live, stating that they're no longer together. As she was inundated with questions asking, "Soo wat happened to you and Jacob," she said on Sunday, "Shake up the room. Shake it up," before confirming that she and Jacob are no longer together. "No, I am not. I'm not anymore," she added, while getting her hair done in the video.
