The upcoming new installment of the neo-noir action thriller film series takes Reeves' titular character to the desert and the streets of Paris to earn his freedom.

AceShowbiz - Lionsgate Movies has given a new look at "John Wick: Chapter 4" ahead of its March release. Debuted on Thursday, February 16, the final trailer of the upcoming film sees Keanu Reeves' titular character trying to defy his face and fight for his freedom.

"The only way John Wick will ever have freedom and peace is in death," The Elder (George Georgiou) says in voiceover. The video then cuts to a scene of John Wick in the desert and saying, "Yeah, not really."

The trailer sees Wick grabbing an opportunity to get the mysterious High Table's target off his back by challenging Bill Skarsgard's The Marquis de Gramont to a single combat. The movie also takes the assassin to the streets of Paris for a gunfight amid the traffic around the Arc de Triomphe.

In the fourth installment of the neo-noir action thriller film franchise, "John Wick uncovers a path to defeating the High Table. But before he can earn his freedom, Wick must face off against a new enemy with powerful alliances across the globe and forces that turn old friends into foes."

Chad Stahelski returns as director for the new "John Wick" movie, with the script written by Shay Hatten and Michael Finch. Stahelski also produces the movie along with Basil Iwanyk and Erica Lee.

Among the returning cast members are Ian McShane who reprises his role as Winston Scott, Laurence Fishburne who is back as The Bowery King, and Lance Reddick who still portrays Charon. Donnie Yen also stars in the film as Caine, a blind High Table assassin and a friend of Wick.

Stahelski has teased the end of the fourth film, saying that Wick would not have "a happy ending." He said in an interview with IndieWire, "John may survive all this s**t but at the end of it, there's no happy ending. He's got nowhere to go. Honestly, I challenge you right now, here's a question to you: How do you f**king want me to end it?"

The director explained the logic, "Do you think he's going to ride off into the f**king sunset? He's killed 300 f**king people and he's just going to [walk away], everything's okay? He's just going to fall in love with a love interest? If you're this f**king guy, if this guy really exist[ed], how is this guy's day going to end? He's f**ked for the rest of his life. It's just a matter of time."

"John Wick: Chapter 4" is set for release on March 24 in theaters nationwide.
