One year earlier, the 'Easy On Me' hitmaker confessed that she would 'actually cry' if she ever met with the 'Black Adam' actor as she has long admiration for him.

AceShowbiz - Adele apparently has long admiration for Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson. The "Easy On Me" hitmaker was left blushing when she finally met the "Black Adam" hunk at the 2023 Grammy Awards, one year after she wished to meet him in person.

The English chart-topping songstress received the surprise of a lifetime from three-time Grammys host Trevor Noah. At the top of the show Sunday night, February 5, Trevor approached Adele's table and said that while he didn't have somebody called "Dwayne Johnson" there, he did have somebody called "The Rock."

"The person that Adele has always wanted to meet is Dwayne Johnson….I found out he's a huge fan of yours, too," Trevor told Adele, who looked overjoyed. To the "Hello" hitmaker's surprise and delight, Dwayne himself had walked up behind her seat and greeted her with a huge smile and a hug. "Adele meet The Rock, The Rock meet Adele!"

As the camera panned away, Dwayne could be seen taking a seat next to the 15-time Grammy winner, who looked incredible in a velvet maroon gown from Louis Vuitton. The audience applauded as they exchanged a laugh, with Trevor later saying, "All right, you two get acquainted, we gotta keep the show moving!"

Previously, Adele admitted that she "would actually cry" if she met The Rock in person. "I was the biggest wrestling fan when I was younger," she told Nikkie de Jager in December 2021.

Adele also shared that after Dwayne sent flowers to one of her concerts, she "literally fell off" her chair. "He's amazing. He's just incredible. I just want him to be my mate. I want him to be my friend," the "Someone Like You" hitmaker shared.

Adele is up for seven awards at the 65th annual ceremony. While accepting her hard-earned trophy for Best Pop Solo Performance, the singer rushed to thank her son Angelo and boyfriend Rich Paul for their support as she created her album "30".

"I really was just looking forward to coming tonight. I just want to dedicate this to my son Angelo," Adele said. "I wrote this first verse in the shower when I was choosing to change my son's life, and he's been nothing but humble and gracious and loving to me the whole time."

Adele then admitted her man, who she began dating in May 2021, "said don't cry" if she wins, before joking about being unable to follow his advice as tears welled in her eyes. Before returning to her seat, the "Turning Tables" singer concluded, "Love you all. I love you. Good night!"
