The 'Formation' singer, who has earlier won three Grammys this year, makes history as she wins the award for Best Dance/Electronic Music Album, surpassing Georg Solti with a total of 32 Grammys.

AceShowbiz - Beyonce Knowles is already a big winner at the 65th Annual Grammy Awards, which is still underway at the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles. The R&B singer set a new record for the most Grammy wins after bagging four awards out of her nine nominations.

The history-making moment comes when Bey won her fourth award at this year's Grammys. She nabbed the prize Best Dance/Electronic Music Album for "Renaissance", which was presented by James Corden.

"I'm trying to not be too emotional," said an overcome Beyonce as she took the stage to accept the award. "I want to thank God for protecting me," she added, before thanking her mom and dad "for loving me and pushing me."

The 41-year-old went on thanking "the queer community for your love and for inventing this genre." She also dedicated her win to her late uncle Jonny, who inspired the album.

With her fourth Grammy win tonight, Beyonce surpassed the late Hungarian orchestral conductor Georg Solti for the most Grammy wins with a total of 32. The former Destiny's Child star earlier tied the record after winning an award for Best R&B Song for "Cuff It". She, however, arrived late at the event because she was stuck in traffic and wasn't able to accept the prize herself.

Beyonce, who received the most nominations of all artists at the 2023 Grammys, still has a chance to add a Grammy to her list of achievements. She's also nominated in Record of the Year, Album of the Year and Song of the Year which winners are yet to be announced.

Mary J. Blige followed up the historic moment with a performance of "Good Morning Gorgeous". Meanwhile, Dr. Dre was honored with the inaugural Dr. Dre Global Impact Award. Trevor Noah is hosting the ceremony, which is airing live on CBS.
