AceShowbiz - Nia Long has set the record straight on her relationship status. Having sent the Internet into a frenzy after cozying up to Omarion on a red carpet, the "Are We There Yet?" actress made it clear that she's still single.
The 52-year-old and the B2K member first sparked dating speculation after crossing paths when walking the red carpet at the premiere of Netflix's new film "You People". The crooner even shared a clip of the two from the event where they took a picture together.
After posing for the camera, Nia grabbed Omarion's hand as she walked forward. Judging from the musician's expression, he looked happy about it. In the caption, Omarion put out a single smiling emoji.
Fans have since gushed over the clip. Catching wind of the debacle, Nia jumped to the comment section underneath The Shade Room's post and clarified, "Everybody simmer down... I'm single AF," adding a kissing emoji.
Nia has been single after splitting from fiance Ime Udoka following his cheating scandal. When speaking to The Hollywood Reporter, she claimed it was "devastating" for their 11-year-old son Kez.
"I think the most heartbreaking thing about all of this was seeing my son's face when the Boston Celtics organization decided to make a very private situation public," Nia, who took her son out of school when the news broke, told the outlet. "It was devastating, and it still is. He still has moments where it's not easy for him."
"If you're in the business of protecting women - I'm sorry, no one from the Celtics organization has even called to see if I'm OK, to see if my children are OK," the actress, who is also a mother to 22-year-old Massai from a previous relationship with actor Massai Z. Dorsey, further revealed. "It's very disappointing."
