The Canadian superstar salutes his 'Throw It in the Bag' remix collaborator by sharing the latter's photos on his Instagram Story along with a few complimentary words.

AceShowbiz - Drake wants Fabolous to know how influential he is to him. The "Certified Lover Boy" artist took to social media on Sunday, January 15 to give a shout-out to the Brooklyn rapper.

Taking to Instagram Story, the four-time Grammy winner shared a series of photos of Fabolous along with a few complimentary words. In one of the snaps, the 45-year-old could be seen sporting a New Jersey Nets jersey, baggy white T-shirt, durag and backward fitted cap.

"Wouldn't be anywhere without this guy real shit @myfabolouslife," the Canadian emcee penned alongside the picture. "Was really just taking in how much you influenced everything for me." He also unleashed a "Smack DVD Magazine" cover from 2005.

The appreciation posts did not go unnoticed by Fabolous. Re-sharing his pal's Stories on his own account, the "Can't Let You Go" rhymer added the prayer hand, flowers, and heart emojis.

Drake and Fabolous have worked together several timees. In 2009, the former lended his vocal for Fabolous and The-Dream's "Throw It in the Bag" remix as well as on Chris Brown's "Deuces (Remix)" with Andre 3000 (Andre Benjamin), T.I., Kanye West and Rick Ross, and T.I. In October 2022, Fab dropped a freestyle called "Ups & Downs", which is his take on Drake and Jack Harlow hit, "Churchill Downs".

The feeling was mutual though. Back in 2013, Fab gave gushing comments about Drake's song "The Resistance". He said listening to the track made him want to connect with his grandmother.

"[That] hit me so hard," Fab shared. "Because I looked at it and said, 'Damn, when was the last time I called my grandmoms, man?' It just hit me. I had to stop the song and call my grandma. Rap used to do that for people. It used to make you live in what is going on. I told him that was my favorite s**t he ever said. That touched me."
