The 'Love and Hip Hop: Atlanta' cast member makes the statement after revealing that one of his close friends 'got to get an emergency flight out of the country because his 12-year-old niece just tried to kill herself.'

AceShowbiz - Safaree Samuels is trying his best to protect his children. In a new video shared on Instagram, the "Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta" star said he's keeping his kids off the Internet because it can be contributing factor to suicide.

"I just got a call from one of my close friends. He got to get an emergency flight out of the country because his 12-year-old niece just tried to kill herself," the reality star said on Instagram Story. "Y'all.. Suicide... it's really crazy. It's because of bullying and Internet."

"That's why I'm not having my kids on the Internet. I'm gonna really try to hold that back as possible," he continued. "They said, every 15 seconds one black man commits suicide. That's insane."

Safaree shares two children with Erica Mena, whom he married in New Jersey in October 2019. At that time, they were already expecting their first child together, daughter Safire Majesty.

The former "Love & Hip Hop: New York" star filed for divorce from the "Liar" spitter in May 2021 when she was pregnant with their son Legend Brian. They welcomed the baby boy in June of that year.

While Safaree might be more careful to post his kids on the Internet now, he sometimes offered fans a glimpse at their kids' lives. In October, he shared some videos of his son Legend walking.

As the baby boy stood next to a chair, the rap star said, "Look at you standing up." Safaree's daughter Safire then exclaimed, "He's walking!" After the tot took a few steps towards him, the proud dad shouted in disbelief, "Oooh!! Oh my goodness! Can't believe I got that on tape."

Safaree also unleashed a video of him helping Legend walk using a safety trap. In the accompaniment of the post, he penned, "This guy taking forever to walk," adding a crying laughing emoji.
