AceShowbiz - It looks like Safaree Samuels acknowledged Nicki Minaj 40th birthday. As the "Super Freaky Girl" raptress celebrated her latest milestone on Thursday, December 8, the "Love & Hip Hop: Hollywood" alum shared an old photo of him and his ex on social media.
The reality star posted the said pic, which was taken more than a decade ago when he and Nicki were romantically involved, on Instagram Story. The snap was initially shared by rapper Loustar of Nicki's rap group Hoodstar before it was reposted by The Source.
In the image, the group posed in a recording studio while wearing matching throwback jerseys. "I wouldn't change anything about my pas!! I'm like Kanye I love everybody," Safaree declared.
Safaree and Nicki dated from 2000 until they called it quits in 2014. It was unveiled that the TV personality worked on several of his now-ex's albums during their nearly 15-year relationship. They include "Pink Friday", "Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded" as well as "The Pinkprint".
Following the split, the "Anaconda" femcee began dating rapper Meek Mill in early 2015 but broke up in January 2017. The Trinidadian rapper was then rumored to be in a relationship with Nas in the same year, though it didn't last long.
As for Safaree, he moved on with Erica Mena, whom he married in New Jersey in October 2019. At that time, they were already expecting their first child together, daughter Safire Majesty.
The former "Love & Hip Hop: New York" star, however, filed for divorce from the "Liar" spitter in May 2021 when she was pregnant with their son Legend. They welcomed the baby boy in June of that year. Though the former spouses already finalized their divorce, they sometimes still threw shades at each other whether online or on TV.
