AceShowbiz - Channing Tatum and Jenna Dewan's fractured relationship appears to be getting worse. If a new report is to be believed, the former couple is reportedly no longer talking amid their nasty divorce battle.
Radar Online reported on Wednesday, November 30 that the exes, who are "still bickering over money and over their nine-year-old daughter Everly as part of their never-ending divorce," only "speak through lawyers or intermediaries." A source added, "It's sad to see a couple that was once so in love have so much animosity."
"They try to be civil, but you can cut the tension with a knife," a separate insider told the outlet. The informant continued, "Neither wants to budge an inch. They've learned that when love turns sour, it leaves a bitter taste."
The court declared Channing and Jenna, who were married in 2009, legally single in 2019. However, they're still at odds over the division of assets, including how to split profits from the hugely successful "Magic Mike" franchise.
Moreover, the two previously agreed to joint custody of their daughter but Jenna wants additional time for Everly to bond with Callum, her two-year-old son by her fiance Steve Kazee. In the meantime, Channing wants the kid to bond with his current girlfriend Zoe Kravitz.
According to reports, the divorce will be wrapped up in the next couple of months as Jenna recently handed over her finances including her income and expenses to Channing. The financial report is one of the last steps before a divorce can wrap up.
In August last year, Jenna said during Dear Media's podcast "Dear Gabby" that she once had a hard time after giving birth to daughter Everly as her then-husband "wasn't available." She revealed at the time, "I had to travel with [Everly] and at the time, Chan wasn't available to be with us for the most part." She continued recalling, "So, it was me, my doula and Evie all by ourselves traveling at six weeks."
"That was really hard because that was long hours," Jenna remembered about the long trip. She also noted that she had to take her baby daughter to work, "I did have her on set with me constantly. It was just really difficult."
After her statement caused controversy on the Internet, Jenna set record straight, "It's unfortunate that countless media outlets have taken an important conversation on a woman's experience with postpartum issues and pulled quotes to make it appear that I was slamming my daughters' father." She insisted that it's "something [she] would never do."
