The car accident happened in Nashville, a few days before Grayson's parents Todd and Julie Chrisley were sentenced to a total of 19 years in prison for their financial crimes.

AceShowbiz - Savannah Chrisley has finally broken her silence on her brother Grayson Chrisley's car accident. When speaking on the terrifying incident for the first time, the daughter of Todd Chrisley and Julie Chrisley said that it made her "heart sank."

The 25-year-old reality star revealed how frightening the entire situation actually was in the Tuesday, November 29 episode of her "Unlocked" podcast. "He was on the interstate. I think another car was, like, weaving in and out of traffic," she said, "I think everyone in the situation just overcorrected because of this one car."

Savannah continued, "His car's totaled. It was bad." The Sassy by Savannah founder went on adding, "He made it sounds like a fender-bender. And y'all, when I tell you the whole front of his truck [was destroyed]. Like, every airbag deployed. When I showed up and saw it, literally my heart sank because, for anyone that knows, Grayson has always had a special place in my heart."

Savannah also shared that Grayson said this was "the last thing" their family needed given the ongoing legal drama involving their parents Todd and Julie. "Dad was like, 'Grayson, you're alive. You're safe. Who cares. It's a car. That's what insurance is for. You're alive and you're safe and you're well,' " she recalled her dad saying. "All Grayson was worried about was a photo. He has a Polaroid picture of dad on his dashboard."

"He's okay. He's beat up, but he's okay," Savannah offered details on Grayson's current condition. She then said, "It could've been worse. So thank the good Lord above. Needless to say, we've had a lot going on in our household. But we're getting through it, we're getting through it. We try to find the silver lining in everything. It's hard."

Grayson was involved in a car crash on November 12, shortly before his parents Todd and Julie were sentenced for bank fraud and tax evasion. The 16-year-old boy sustained injuries that required treatment at a hospital.

"Grayson was driving his Ford F-150 on I-65 in Nashville last Saturday around 5:30 PM when he drove into the back of a Dodge pickup truck that was stopped in heavy standstill traffic," police told TMZ. "He could not recall anything about the accident, possibly due to a potential head injury. He was rushed by ambulance to a hospital. The driver of the truck Grayson rear-ended suffered injuries as well, but refused medical attention."

Then on November 21, Grayson's dad Todd was officially sentenced to 12 years in prison and his mom was given seven years in jail. The couple will have to serve 16 months of probation as well. The sentencing hugely affected their TV shows as "Chrisley Knows Best" and its spin-off "Growing Up Chrisley" were all canceled. The family also lost their third TV show, "Love Limo".

Following the sentencing, Todd and Julie vowed to appeal the decision and explained why they were "optimistic about the road ahead." The disgraced reality stars' attorney Alex Little told PEOPLE, "Yesterday was a difficult day for the Chrisley family. But Todd and Julie are people of faith, and that faith gives them strength as they appeal their convictions. Their trial was marred by serious and repeated errors, including the government lying to jurors about what taxes the couple paid. Based on these issues, we are optimistic about the road ahead."
