The self-anointed 'Queen of Christmas' is joined by her 11-year-old twins Monroe and Moroccan during her surprise appearance at the annual parade to sing her iconic holiday song.

AceShowbiz - Christmas may be Mariah Carey's favorite holiday of the year, but she wouldn't miss the chance to help celebrate Thanksgiving. The 53-year-old singer has made a surprise appearance at the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade to kick off the holiday season.

Joined by her 11-year-old twin children Monroe and Moroccan, whom she shares with her ex-husband Nick Cannon, she performed her iconic tune "All I Want for Christmas" on Thursday afternoon, November 24. She donned a massive pink dress and a sparkling tiara while holding an umbrella in the same color.

Monroe wore an all-white ensemble that included a tutu and tiara, while Moroccan sported a red sweatshirt and black pants with a gold chain around his neck. The self-anointed "Queen of Christmas" was flanked by dancers dressing in white tutu and red uniforms. Even both of her children did their part diligently, dancing enthusiastically to the song while Mariah appeared to lip-sync and just stood still during her performance.

Seeing this, social media users didn't mince their words and commented on Mariah's lazy performance. "I love the lack of energy Mariah Carey gives in her performances. It's the one thing we can all count on," one Twitter user sarcastically wrote. Another weighed in, "Lmao Mariah Really getting paid to mouth word a real Diva."

Sports journalist Ian Hest tweeted, "Mariah Carey is getting millions right now to just stand there with her umbrella and honestly I'm not mad. Mad respect." Not bothered by the lack of energy in Mariah's performance, someone else said, "She always just standing there with a beautiful gown doing absolutely nothing lol. I liveeeeee for that can't be mad."

Another critic complained about Mariah's apparent lip-sync, tweeting, "Come on lip sync." Someone, however, came to the "Hero" hitmaker's defense as claiming, "If you watched the parade, EVERYBODY lip synced."

The backlash aside, Mariah was "proud" to join the annual celebration. "Happy Thanksgiving!!!" she posted on Instagram after her performance along with several pics from the parade. "Grateful and so proud of my beautiful kids Roc and Roe, grateful for the lambily and for the precious moments in life. Now it's reaaaallly time!!!"
