Before releasing the snippet on Instagram Story, the 33-year-old RnB crooner laments an issue with his label, saying, 'The label lame a** pushed the time back.'

AceShowbiz - Chris Brown just released the snippet of his new single "Giving Christmas", but it received unexpected responses from fans. Many voiced their disappointment upon hearing the preview on the R&B singer's Instagram Story.

In a post shared on Thursday, November 17, the 33-year-old first lamented a problem with his label. He said, "The label lame a** pushed the time back. 9PM WESTCOAST 12 MIDNIGHT CHRISTMAS SONGS, sorry for the delay."

Chris later unleashed the snippet in a separate Story. "Since the wanna play it's released in Japan," the Virginia-born artist gushed. "So I'll let y'all hear what it sound like."

Hollywood Unlocked later re-posted Chris' Stories on Instagram, prompting one person to argue, "CB has been making the same song for like 10 years." Another added, "It's like he's stuck somewhere in 2012." A third echoed the sentiment, "Why do all his songs sound the same since 2013."

Someone else chimed in, "It sounds like all his other songs." A different individual suggested, "Chris need to lock in with some new producers man.. why them beats be sounding so similar? It takes away from him being a Great artist."

This might be surprising for CB because fans were initially excited after he teased the song around a week prior. "I'M MAKING A NEW CHRISTMAS SONG THIS YEAR!!! BEEN TOO LONG," he announced at that time. "It's Giving Christmas.' "

At that time, people were elated by the news. "Okay Christopher Maurice Brown. You showing out this year. Im here for it," one user raved, while another raved, "I stand behind anything this man decides to do cause i know the outcome is gonna be great." Someone else then made a reference to Mariah Carey, who has been dubbed the Queen of Christmas, by noting, "Please do bro! Mariah's at this point qualifies for torture because it gets played so damn much."
