AceShowbiz - Kid Cudi has broken his silence on the bottle-throwing incident at Rolling Loud Miami. The "Pursuit of Happiness" rapper addressed the matter when speaking to Zane Lowe earlier this week on his Apple Music show.
The 38-year-old, born Scott Ramon Seguro Mescudi, explained why he was so upset by the ordeal. "It's supposed to be an unspoken agreement amongst artists and fans, that you're supposed to give the utmost respect and not interfere with the performance," he elaborated.
The incident took place in July. In a video surfacing online, Cudi could be seen warning the audience that he would leave if someone threw one more thing at him. "Yo, I will walk off this stage if you all throw one more f**king thing up here, I will leave, I will leave right now," he argued.
"Throw one more f**king thing on this stage and I'll walk off, I'm not f**king playing. I'm not f**king playing, you will ruin it for everybody. I'll f**king leave If I get hit with one more f**king thing, if I see one more f**king thing on this f**king stage, I'm leaving. Don't f**k with me," the emcee fumed. However, someone threw another item at him shortly afterward, prompting him to drop his mic and walk offstage.
That aside, Cudi also talked about his new album "Entergalactic" with Lowe. Hinting that the project might be his final studio record, he shared, "The Kid Cudi stuff, I think I want to put it on the back burner and chill out with that. I think, I want to be done with it... I think, closing the chapter on Kid Cudi."
While he might not retire from the music industry, Cudi said he wants to try other creative endeavors, including writing for TV and working on his clothing line. "I've said a lot and I have other desires, I have other things I want to do," he first noted.
"And I do not see me never making music, I'll always f**k around in the studio, or make something here and there," he continued. "But, as far as getting in the studio and working on an album, and then going and touring it, I just don't have it in me. I don't have the desire."
