The media mogul confirms to Hoda Kobt and Jenna Bush that he indeed offered the Duke and Duchess of Sussex his $18 million mansion in Los Angeles after they quit the royal family in 2020.

AceShowbiz - Tyler Perry finally broke his silence on reports about Prince Harry and Meghan Markle living at his home. When confirming the news, the media mogul revealed why he offered the couple his $18 million mansion in Los Angeles after they quit the royal family.

"It was a very difficult time for them," the 53-year-old told Hoda Kotb and Jenna Bush in the Wednesday, September 21 episode of "Today" show. "What I know about the two of them, that I wish the world knew, is how much they love - these two people love each other."

Tyler went on to gush over the Duke and Duchess of Sussex's relationship. "They found each other - out of all these odds against them finding each other, they found each other. The love they have is really, really moving, and I just wanted to do anything I could to support them," he raved. "If I don't have that, what she and Harry have, I don't want it - that's really amazing."

Meghan herself recently opened up about her bond with Tyler. When sitting down with The Cut, the former "Suits" star explained that he got in touch with her after she married Harry in 2018. She said he let her know he was praying for her "and that he understood" the intense pressure she was under.

Tyler reportedly told Meghan to reach out to him if she ever needed advice, and she did it two years later despite never meeting in person. "Sometimes, you can tell your life story to a stranger on a plane as opposed to some of the people that are closest to you," she shared.

Tyler also didn't shy away from showing his love to Meghan. Back in August, he shared a sweet birthday tribute to his pal on Instagram by writing, "I've had a front row seat in your life for the past few years. I've watched you endure things that would have broken a lot of people." He continued, "I'm so incredibly proud to see how happy you, your husband, and your kids are now."
