AceShowbiz - Josh Duhamel made a pit stop to the hospital on the morning of his wedding to Audra Mari. The 49-year-old actor was rushed to the emergency room just hours before marrying his now-wife for injuring his back the night before.
Sharing the unexpected setback of their important day is Audra. In an interview with Vogue Australia, the former Miss World America says the Captain William Lennox of the "Transformers" films series had been "pulling some wild dance moves on the party bus."
Audra doesn't specify which move that caused the injury, but it was enough to cause a slipped disc. Not letting the injury deter their plans to get married, the beauty pageant contestant adds, "Cue the cortisone shot and let's get married!"
In the interview, Audra also talks about their decision to get married in their shared home state of North Dakota. "We knew we wanted to get married in Fargo," she explains. "It was the most important thing for us. Not only is it home to us, but it was so convenient for everyone we love to get to."
"I guess the romantic in me always feels like we're just two small-town kids from North Dakota who found each other in Los Angeles," the 28-year-old adds. "But we will always always be home, no matter where we are in the world."
Josh and Audra tied the knot at Olivet Lutheran Church in Fargo on Saturday, September 10. After saying "I do", the couple hopped in a vintage red convertible to cruise around town in celebration. Following the ceremony, the newlyweds stopped by a bar called Duffy's Tavern to celebrate the occasion by sharing a few drinks with their pals.
On the special day, the "Safe Haven" star looked sharp in a black tuxedo, while the former Miss Teen North Dakota opted for a long-sleeved, full-skirted dress by Australian designer Leah Da Gloria.
