Previously, the 'thank u, next' hitmaker confirmed that she is not working on any new music and will not be until she's done the musical movie, in which she stars as Glinda the Good Witch.

AceShowbiz - Ariana Grande will be back making music soon. According to Kali Uchis, the pop star and Kali will be hitting record studio together for a collaboration after the pop star is "done" with her "Wicked" movie.

During a live stream on TikTok on Sunday, September 11, Kali revealed the upcoming project. "She's not recording right now," the "telepatia" hitmaker told her followers. "Because working on her movie stuff; her play that she's doing… She said that when she's done with that, we are going to work."

Kali, whose real name is Karly-Marina Loaiza, then said, "I'm excited for that." As of this writing, neither of the two musicians has confirmed the official title and release date of their upcoming collaboration.

Ariana is expected to be playing Glinda the Good Witch in "Wicked", which is slated to be released in two parts, arriving in 2024 and 2025. Back in May, the "positions" star clarified that she is not working on any new music and will not be until she has finished filming the musical movie.

The 28-year-old Grammy-winning singer/songwriter told her fans about her decision in a video posted on her makeup line R.E.M. Beauty's YouTube channel. She declared, "I'm spending all of my time with Glinda."

Ariana also explained that she wanted "a little bit of transparency and honesty" with her fans. She stated, "This is a question I'm nervous to answer, but I feel like I want to have a little bit of transparency and honesty with my fans. The truth is, I have not begun an album."

The "thank u, next" singer further pointed out that after releasing "positions" she was "not ready" to restart the process. She said, "I hear through the grapevine that you have a lot of theories and expectations in that department. But after 'positions', [I] was not ready to start another album yet, so I have not begun another album."
