AceShowbiz - Usher is not interested in going on "Verzuz". The "OMG" hitmaker apparently believes that his catalog is too much for any opponent or the platform itself to handle.

During his appearance on "PEOPLE Every Day" podcast, the R&B star addressed the chance of him participating on the hit battle series while flaunting his resume. "I think if you ever came to my show, you would understand that I don't even think a 'Verzuz' could handle all of the songs that I have to be honest," Usher said. "It's like, I could do it by myself. But I don't wanna do that. That's not the purpose of 'Verzuz', me versus me."

Even though he isn't interested in "Verzuz", Usher praised Swizz Beatz and Timbaland's show. "But I think it's great. It's great to celebrate music," he noted, adding, "But the appreciation of it starts with understanding what it is and how long has it taken to do this legacy. And if you choose to compare it, what are you comparing to? Are you comparing it to itself?"

The "Yeah" singer also claimed that he's on another level when it comes to hit records. "I'm a different animal, man," he shared. "I'm cut from a way different cloth man. And when you put those songs on, I'm telling you, I don't think anybody in the world would want smoke with them songs."

This wasn't the first time for Usher to weigh in on having a battle on "Verzuz". Back in July, the "My Boo" hitmaker denied rumors that he's set to have an R&B showdown with Chris Brown, though he didn't entirely rule it out for the future. "There was a flyer that was put together. It's not official, no, we're not doing that," he explained on E!'s "Daily Pop" at the time. "But I can appreciate what I see. Nah, there's no 'Verzuz'. I don't think y'all ready for nothing like that. You might be ready for something like that on stage, maybe in the future. Stay tuned."

Usher, meanwhile, recently accepted the King of R&B crown, sparking debate among fans and fellow artists. "I mean, you call me that, I'll definitely carry it," he said in an interview with Bevy Smith on "Bevelations". "I'ma tilt my crown knowing that I'm standing on the shoulders of all of the icons of our time. It is [Michael Jackson] that I stand on the shoulders of, it is James Brown that I stand on the shoulders of, it is Ronald Isley I stand on the shoulders of, it is Luther Vandross, it is Barry White, it is Teddy Pendergrass."

"It is all of these incredible artists like Marvin Gaye that will never be forgotten as long as there's a breath in my body to breathe. It's all of them. And as a result of that, yeah, you wanna give me that crown, you tell me who gon' do it better," he added.
