Calling it 'insane' to do a 'proper interview' to tell her story, the 'Womanizer' singer releases a 22-minute audio clip in which she details the 'abuse' she experienced as a result of her conservatorship.

AceShowbiz - Britney Spears is taking control of her own narrative. Having not done sharing her side of the story, the pop superstar has dropped a bombshell voice memo instead of sitting down for a tell-all interview with Oprah Winfrey.
The 40-year-old released the 22-minute audio clip on her YouTube channel on Sunday, August 28. In the clip, which has since been deleted, she claimed that she turned down "lots of money" to do an interview with Oprah.
"I get nothing out of sharing all of this," Britney said. "I have offers to do interviews with Oprah and so many people [for] lots and lots of money, but it's insane. I don't want any of it. For me, it's beyond a sit-down proper interview." She further explained the reason why she turned down the interview offer, "I really don't think any of that is relevant to getting paid to tell your story, I feel like it's kind of silly. So I'm, I'm here, honestly, just to open myself to others and try to shed a light on."
Lashing out at her family for abandoning her amid her conservatorship, the "Oops!... I Did It Again" hitmaker said, "They literally killed me. They threw me away." She doubled down on her claim that she was forced into a mental health facility in early 2019 because she objected to a dance move. "I felt like my family threw me away. I was performing for thousands of people at night in Vegas, the rush of being a performer, the laughter, the respect ... I was a machine. I was a f**king machine, not even human almost. It was insane," she elaborated.
"I knew in the deepest, deepest part of my core. I knew I'd done nothing wrong and I didn't deserve the way I'd been treated," the so-called Princess of Pop further lamented. "They put me in an ignorant state of mind to make me feel like I needed them," she continued, adding that she was allegedly told, "If you don't do what we say, we're going to show you who's boss."
"I was, like, 'Why are you guys doing this?' " the mother of two recalled what she told them, adding that her father Jamie Spears' last words to her allegedly were, "Now you don't have to go, but if you don't go, we're going to go to trial and you're going to lose. I have way more people on my side than you [do]. You don't even have a lawyer, so don't even think about it."
"It was pure abuse," so she claimed. "And, and I haven't even really shared even half of it. I think the main thing I do remember when I first started was my dad's control. He loved to control everything I did."
Britney remembered telling her then-assistant at the time, "My biggest fear was 'What would my dad do if I did do something wrong? What if they found me? What would they do?' ... And she looked at me and said, 'Are you kidding me, Britney? Your dad would never do that to you.' "
Despite her father's treatment to her, the "Hold It Against Me" songstress admitted she's "honestly more angry" with her mother Lynne Spears, because when reporters would call the matriarch, she would allegedly "innocently hide" and not speak up for her daughter.
"I feel like she could have gotten me a lawyer in literally two seconds," the "Overprotected" singer said. "My friend helped me get one in the end, but every time I made contact with a firm, my phone was tapped and my phone would get taken away from me."
In the end, Britney felt she doesn't get the justice she deserves. "How the f**k did they get away with?" she said in the audio clip. "How is there a God? Is there a God? ... I'm sharing this because I want people to know I'm only human. I do feel victimized after these experiences, and how can I mend this if I don't talk about it?"
In the extended video, Britney also revealed that she was once in a "secret relationship" with an unnamed man. "I was talking to a guy, and he wanted to just leave the country with me. We had it all set up to leave, and it was a secret relationship," she said.
Britney hoped by sharing her story she could offer help to others who feel alienated like her during her conservatorship. "If you're a weird, introvert oddball like me, who feels alone a lot of the time and you needed to hear a story like this today so you don't feel alone. Know this: my life has been far from easy and you're not alone," she said.
Britney dropped the tell-all voice memo after she deleted her popular Instagram account and moved to Twitter instead. After not making any tweets more than seven months, she returned to the blue bird app and has shared five posts, including a naked video to celebrate her 1st single in six years, "Hold Me Closer" with Elton John.
