While she is sad that she is unable to comfort her youngest daughter Mae James at home, the 'How I Met Your Father' actress praises other parents for doing their best.

AceShowbiz - Hilary Duff seemingly could not work peacefully in recent days. In a video shared on Instagram Story, the "How I Met Your Father" star lamented not being able to be with her sick daughter because of her busy schedule.

Noting that her youngest daughter Mae James had hand, foot, and mouth disease (HFMD), the 34-year-old shared, "None of my other kids have ever had hand, foot, mouth, so I've never seen it before and that looks awful." She continued, "I haven't been able to be with her all day because I'm at work."

"I love my job so much but this is just a little shoutout for working parents who have to leave their kids in times that don't feel natural and goes against everything in your body to not be with them in times like that," the "Lizzie McGuire" alum further noted.

Praising other parents, Hilary stated, "You're doing a good job, just like I know I'm doing a good job in working hard for my family." She then added, "But poor little baby! All of this feels so weird, to not be with her."

Hilary shares Mae and 3-year-old daughter Banks Violet with her musician husband Matthew Koma. In addition, she is a mother to 10-year-old son Luca Cruz, whom she shares with her ex-husband Mike Comrie.

Hilary made the post months after she celebrated Mae's first birthday. "Happy ONE Mae Mae - This family loves you so much! What a fun/crazy/tiring year it has been! I truly enjoy you being my little barnacle…. your face, with those big eyes just amaze me …. It's especially cute and you know it!!" the mom of three gushed.

"Only a matter of time until you will be keeping up with your sibs little darling and I am one grateful mama to bare witness to it all," Hilary raved. "Happy birthday cake monster. I love you."
