Joining The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, Meghan's in-laws Prince Charles and Duchess Camilla also use of their social media account to share a message to the Duchess of Sussex to celebrate her 41st birthday.

AceShowbiz - Prince William and Kate Middleton are wishing Meghan Markle a happy birthday. The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge made use of their social media account to share a message to the Duchess of Sussex to celebrate her 41st birthday.

On Thursday, August 4, Kate and William wrote on their joint Twitter account, "Wishing a happy birthday to The Duchess of Sussex." They also shared a picture of the wife of Prince Harry from her recent visit to the U.K. for Queen Elizabeth's Platinum Jubilee celebrations.

Also celebrating Meghan's birthday were her in-laws Prince Charles and Duchess Camilla. Alongside a similar photo of the former "Suits" actress from the Service of Thanksgiving she attended alongside Prince Harry in the Queen's honor at St. Paul's Cathedral on June 3, the Duke and Duchess of Cornwall wrote on the blue bird app, "Wishing a happy birthday to The Duchess of Sussex!"

Meghan Markle birthday tribute

British royal family members wished Meghan Markle a happy birthday.

Twitter users, meanwhile, showed mixed reactions to William and Kate's birthday shout-out for Meghan amid the reported beef between the Cambridges and the Sussexes. Praising William and Kate, one person gushed, "William and Catherine always take the high road. Always choose to be graceful and classy. Incredible."

Echoing the sentiment, another user added, "That is the regal class. Wishing someone a happy birthday, who diliberaty lied & hurt you, thrown you under the bus for her greater good. Who abuse the privileges, that were granted to her. Not sure it's the right way to deal with a narcissist like her, but it's very classy."

However, some others thought that the birthday tribute wasn't necessary. "Incredibly gracious considering.. but @KensingtonRoyal you really need to read the room and see how the British public feel abt what they have done and continue to do.. the majority of brits want their titles stripped," a third fan wrote. Another similar comment read, "Very classy, but it's really not necessary. Please don't pay TW any attention. It's not like they wish the beautiful Duchess of Cambridge of the Cambridge children Happy Birthday."

Earlier this year, Meghan returned to the U.K. for the first time after she and Harry stepped down as senior royal family members. Upon their arrival, the two were met with both applause and boos from British people. It was also said that during their visit to Britain, they didn't seem to be planning to hang out with William and Kate. "At the moment, it does not look likely that Harry and Meghan and William and Kate will meet up separately during the Jubilee celebrations," one source said. "There is certainly nothing in the diary at the moment."
