Sharing the struggles she has to deal with in teaching her 4-year-old toddler new skills before school starts, the 'Real Housewives of Orange County' alum reaches out to 'warrior therapy parents' for help.

AceShowbiz - Meghan King is seeking guidance online to teach her toddler, who was diagnosed with Cerebral Palsy, new skills. Having been met with failures in her attempts to potty-train 4-year-old Hart, the former star of "The Real Housewives of Orange County" decided to reach out to the hundreds of her social media account followers for much-needed advice.
Making use of Instagram on Tuesday, July 19, the 37-year-old opened up about her troubles in a video post. "So I really could use some of your advice because I've been trying to get Hart potty-trained for… I don't know, a year I'd say at least," she began sharing. "And you guys know Hart has CP. He has Cerebral Palsy."
In the caption of her post, the ex-wife of Jim Edmonds went on to explain, "Hart has been on a journey with his Cerebral Palsy from day one of his life. It's not a progressive disorder (meaning it won't get worse) but as he comes of age to acquire new skills, like potty training, is when we run into new detours and roadblocks."
The mother of three then pointed out, "Hart is afraid of the toilet (I think) and I've tried every motivator on the planet." In the clip she posted, she spilled that she has personally tried various way to motivate her toddler, such as bribing him with toy, candy and even a cat, but her effort was not met with success.
Knowing that Hart will start school in August, Meghan admitted that she was running out of time. "The clock is ticking as school requires him to be potty trained and it starts in a month! Any words of wisdom from others who have children with sensory issues, etc is much much appreciated (and NECESSARY at this point!). Take it away, warrior therapy parents, and tell me how it's done," she noted.
Meghan's video post quickly attracted the attention from fellow parents who came to share their advice in the comment section. "Have you tried putting cheerios in the toilet? That's how I taught my Son and he had fun trying to hit them," one Instagram user suggested.
Another came up with more ideas to try. "Have you tried/thought about getting one of the little kid toilets? If he's scared maybe start small and work your way up to the big toilet," the user suggested, adding, "Sensory stuff is so hard, my son didn't struggle with potty training but in other areas we still struggle."
