Helping his 'Annie' co-star ease her nerves about returning to Hollywood, the 'Spider-Man: Far From Home' actor enlists Tom Brady to share some tips about un-retiring.

AceShowbiz - Cameron Diaz is itching to act again. More than four years since announcing her retirement from Hollywood, the actress is set to be back in front of camera for a new Netflix movie, thanks in part to Jamie Foxx.

The "Charlie's Angels" actress is slated to star in an action-comedy aptly titled "Back in Action" alongside her "Annie" co-star Foxx. On Wednesday, June 29, the actor shared the news of Diaz's unretirement on Twitter.

"Cameron I hope you aren't mad I recorded this, but no turning back now," he tweeted along with a recording of a three-way call between him, Diaz and Tom Brady. "Had to call in the GOAT to bring back another GOAT. @CameronDiaz and I are BACK IN ACTION - our new movie with @NetflixFilm. Production starting later this year!!"

In the audio recording, the mother of one expressed her nerves about returning to Hollywood. "I'm like pacing the room," she opened up. "I feel excited, but I don't know how to do this, you know?"

Foxx then surprised Diaz by calling Brady, who announced his retirement in March of this year only to change his mind 40 days later and rejoin the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. "I was talking to Jamie and he said you need a few tips on how to un-retire," the quarterback quipped. "I'm relatively successful at un-retiring."

Netflix also quoted Foxx's tweet and added in its own caption, "Cameron Diaz is officially un-retiring!! She will star with Jamie Foxx in a new Netflix movie - and we have an unexpected person to thank for getting her back in action…" Further welcoming the actress back, the streaming service updated their bio, which now reads, "Thank you Cameron Diaz."

"Back in Action" has Seth Gordon ("Horrible Bosses", "The Lost City") on board as director. He will also co-write the script with Brendan O"Brien.
