AceShowbiz - DJ Akademiks refused to apologize to Ari Fletcher for how she called her. After being checked by the social media influencer for referring to her as "G Herbo [Lil Herb]'s baby moms", the YouTuber took to social media to defend himself.
Akademiks put the label when sharing on Instagram a screenshot of Ari's tweet that read, "I'm about to be a billionaire." In the caption, he wrote, "#gherbo baby moms announces she's finna be a billionaire."
The post didn't go unnoticed by Ari. Upset, the mother of one argued in the comment section, "Watch how you address me. My name is Ariana."
Akademiks later defend his statement. "Sorry to tell [you[ but I know she's like a A list celeb on the shade room but I run a rap blog," he explained. "To describe her to my audience [I'm] gonna have to say g herbo baby mom or moneybagg yo girlfriend."
The media personality went on to emphasize that he was not being shady. "Ain't no shade," he stressed. "Some ppl yall see as huge stars over this page my audience barely knows and Vice verse. Bet y'all haven't heard of 40% rappers I post."
Ari might be annoyed by the label considering the fact that she's now in a happy relationship with Moneybagg. She previously gushed over their romance when appearing on the "Don't Call Me White Girl" podcast, saying, "We don't have like, a toxic thing where we like... We like to talk about everything. Like, I'm mad, this is why I'm mad, and this is what needs to happen moving forward so this don't make me mad no more."
"We're like real adults - it's weird. I've never been like this before," Ari continued, before admitting that she used to be a "toxic" girlfriend for her previous partners. She revealed that she used to want men to pull their gun out when she tried to leave.
