During her Twitter rant, the 'WAP' hitmaker also slams the double standard where people would accuse her of copying if she does something similar to anybody.

AceShowbiz - Cardi B has gotten things off her chest. In an audio recording shared on Twitter, the "Bodak Yellow" hitmaker called out "upset" critics who tried to "discredit" her influence.

"Why do people get so upset when my fans point out things that I have influenced?" the 29-year-old asked in a quiet tone. "My fans aren't saying that people are copying me or anything. People are just saying that, like, you can see the influence. Why does that bother you guys so much?"

"I feel like people just be trying to discredit me so bad that they just try to erase everything I do. And it's like, no matter how much you erase it, it's there," the wife of Offset continued. She went on to mention her influence on fashion, music video choices, as well as her music rollouts.

Cardi added, "I have seen my influence on music videos that a lot of people have done that I did. And I know it because sometimes I'll go overseas and get a director that nobody used before, and I see people use my director and do things that is similar to 'Press,' for example."

The "WAP" raptress also revealed what she perceives to be a double standard. "Let Cardi do something similar to anybody, I could wear a similar shoe to people, and people want to say I'm copying, I'm copying, I'm copying," she explained.

Before concluding her message, Cardi warned fans to get prepared of her "new era." She declared, "Y'all gonna be seeing elevations from my new era. Y'all gonna see the trends. And I'll be calling it out... I be so humble that I don't call things out... I'm gonna be calling it out. 'Cause I'm coming hard."

Cardi's rant, however, didn't sit well with many online users. One person in particular asked, "What influence cardi ? What have u done for RAP ...music videos & fashion dont count. what have u done for rap culture ? Besides be a gimmick with hot radio hits." Another argued, "Maybe u will be credited once u start writing your shii. You're rapper and rappers write their shii…its unfair yeah but its the culture."
