AceShowbiz - Britney Spears is treating her fans to her wedding preparation. The "Baby One More Time" songstress has offered the very first look at her wedding veil after Sam Asghari revealed that they've set a date for the ceremony.
On Sunday, May 8, the 40-year-old pop star shared a photo that saw her new cat, Wendy, sitting conveniently on top of her wedding veil. "Introducing Wendy [cat emoji] !!! And yes, this is the veil to my wedding dress !!!" she simply captioned her post.
A few hours earlier, Britney's soon-to-be husband Sam turned to Instagram Story to tease their fans that they have set a date for their big day. "Our lives have been a real life fairytale [red heart emoji] happy Mother's Day to you my soon to be queen," Sam began, gushing over his fiancee on Mother's Day. He added, "Also The big day has been set! But nobody will know until the day after."
In a separate post, Sam further detailed that they won't tie the knot on July 11. Along with a screenshot of an Instagram DM from a fan who speculated that the wedding will be held on "7/11," the actor and fitness expert explained, "No! 7-11 [seven eleven] is a convenience store with a great candy selection [laughing with tears emoji]."
Last November, Britney unveiled that she had chosen her longtime friend and iconic designer Donatella Versace to make her wedding dress. She wrote via Instagram at the time, "Donatella Versace is making my dress as we speak." Since then, the 67-year-old fashion designer has been spotted making several visits to Britney's estate in California.
Britney and Sam have reportedly been dating since 2016 after meeting on the set of her music video for "Slumber Party". The couple then got engaged in September 2021. Then on April 11 this year, the "Toxic" hitmaker announced that she's pregnant with their first child.
"So I got a pregnancy test … and uhhhhh well … I am having a baby," Britney shared in a candid Instagram post. She then suggested that she may be having twins as saying, "If 2 [babies] are in there … I might just loose it."
