The 30-year-old real estate agent previously made headlines after she claimed in an episode of the Netflix show that they matched on Raya before he rekindled his romance with Jennifer Lopez

AceShowbiz - Emma Hernan is setting the record straight. The "Selling Sunset" star clarified her comments in an episode of the show about matching with Ben Affleck on celebrity dating app Raya.

During her appearance on E! News' "Daily Pop" on Monday, April 25, the 30-year-old real estate agent said, "It was not recent." She went on to explain, "This was 2019. Literally, the smallest, innocent little thing. … [It] blew up out of proportion."

"I think on the show, you didn't see the timeframe and it just seemed worse," she added. "And it was literally the smallest thing. End of story. We're shutting that one down now"

The whole thing started after Emma claimed to co-star Chrishell Stause that she matched with Ben on Raya before the actor rekindled his romance with Jennifer Lopez. "He may or may not have been texting me," the model teased. "He may or may not have asked to grab … coffee a few times."

Chrishell later jokingly replied, "You could've foiled Bennifer. He was on the hunt." Emma then revealed the "Argo" director's supposed "opening pickup line," which was related to their shared home state of Massachusetts. "We have the Boston connection. It was very sweet," she shared.

Ben's rep, however, claimed that the 49-year-old star had not been active on Raya for the past few years. In fact, "Raya has confirmed that he has not been an active member for several years," the rep said.

Back in April 2021, a TikTok user claimed Ben DMed her a video on Instagram after matching with her on the dating app. The TikToker also shared a video of the Academy Award-winning writer calling her by name and addressing the "unmatching" incident. "Nivine, why did you unmatch me?" he asked her in the clip. He appeared to convince her that he's not a catfish, saying, "It's me."
