The 'Growing Up Hip Hop' star claims during her testimony that her 5-year-old son Sutton Joseph Tennyson keeps asking her when his father 'will come back.'

AceShowbiz - Angela Simmons is still grieving five years after her fiance Sutton Tennyson was killed. When testifying against Michael Williams in court on Friday, April 15, the "Growing Up Hip Hop" star couldn't help but get emotional.
According to TMZ, Angela tearfully revealed that her 5-year-old son, who is also named Sutton, "constantly asks" when his dad "will come back." She also claimed she cries "all the time" when remembering how excited Sutton Sr. was about raising their baby before his death.
On Friday, Michael was sentenced to life in prison for murder. He was also hit with an additional 15 years for possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. It was said he'll be eligible for parole after serving a minimum of 30 years behind bars.
Angela and Sutton got engaged in 2016, the same year they welcomed baby Sutton Joseph Tennyson. The couple broke up in 2017. In November 2018, Sutton was found dead in his garage with multiple gunshot wounds.
In January 2020, Angela recalled the moment when she told her son about his father's passing. "I was with my son, and super emotional right, even to talk about it. He was looking out the window and he's like, 'Daddy, white car,' " she said when speaking to life coach Chenoa Maxwell.
"I question him, 'Where do you see him?' or 'Who is Daddy? What does he look like?' I'm asking him. I'm like, 'Do you want to see your dad?' and he's like, 'Yes.' So he comes over and I start showing him videos and pictures and stuff, and he stopped," the reality star continued. "It's not like he's full conversational yet, so this is what kind of makes it emotional. He was like, 'Is he alive?' "
"He doesn't even say the word 'alive,' so for him to, like ask that is, like, woah. Like, did you really just say, 'Is he alive?' And I was just like, 'No, he's not,' " she recounted. "This is the first time I'm having to explain it to him, which is, like, super sad, because he's three. How do you explain to a 3-year-old that they're never going to see them again? Other than my own way, which is like, 'He's in Heaven, he's with God.' [I say] all of the great things, then he kind of laid his head in my chest and told me he was sad."
