According to a new report, the daughter of Floyd Mayweather, Jr. appears in a Houston court where she pleads guilty to aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.

AceShowbiz - Yaya Mayweather has shown up in court to deal with the aftermath of her violent encounter with one of NBA YoungBoy a.k.a. YoungBoy Never Broke Again's baby mamas. Words are the 21-year-old has pleaded guilty to stabbing Lapattra Lashai Jacobs.

According to The Shade Room, Yaya appeared in a court in Houston on Wednesday, April 13 where she pleaded guilty to aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. She is apparently gunning for a lesser sentence since the guilty plea means she no longer faces up to 20 years in prison.

In court documents obtained by XXL, Yaya admitted to "unlawfully, intentionally and unknowingly" causing "bodily injury to Lapattra Jacobs" by cutting her with a knife. Prosecutors have reportedly suggested six years of probation. It has also been suggested that Yaya complete 40 hours of community service and she is forbidden from harassing, threatening or abusively contacting the victim.

Yaya is due back in court on June 16 for her sentencing, during which will be determined if the probation she gets includes community service, restitution, or a combination of the two. She has also waived her right to appeal her case.

In a statement to the site, her attorney Kent Schaffer said, "We resolved the case between Iyanna and the State. The agreement calls for Iyanna being on deferred adjudication for a period of 6 years after which she will have no felony conviction and the case will be dismissed. She is eligible to have the deferred adjudication end after two years pending her good behavior."

"Although we believe that Iyanna was defending herself after being attacked, we thought this was the safest resolution for her," the attorney added. "This is especially true since her boyfriend and his bodyguards refused to testify; probably due to their own legal problems."

The crime happened in April 2020. Both Yaya and Lapattra visited YoungBoy's home at the time and an altercation ensued between the two women in the kitchen. As the argument escalated, Yaya reportedly grabbed two knives. When Lapattra reportedly stepped towards Yaya, the daughter of Floyd Mayweather, Jr. stabbed Lapattra multiple times.
