During his monologue, the 'Brokeback Mountain' actor parodies the singing diva's 1996 hit 'It's All Coming Back to Me Now' as he celebrates his return to the comedy show.

AceShowbiz - It's all coming back to him now. After more than a decade, Jake Gyllenhaal returned to host "Saturday Night Live" in the Saturday, April 9 episode. During his monologue, the "Ambulance" actor parodied Celine Dion's 1996 hit "It's All Coming Back to Me Now" as he celebrated his return to the comedy show.

He kicked off his opening monologue by noting that the last time he hosted the show was back in 2007. "You know how long ago that was? That was like 400 Marvel movies ago," he joked. The actor also recalled that things had changed drastically now.

"There were jokes about the first iPhone," the "Brokeback Mountain" star said of his 2007 episode, before adding that he dressed as a drag singer while he promoted a movie where he played a gay cowboy. "And that was actually the least problematic thing in that episode," Jake explained. "I mean, it's been 15 years. I wasn't sure I'd remember how to host. But being here, tonight, it feels like everything is suddenly...coming back."

Jake later started singing the hit song before "SNL" cast members Cecily Strong, Chloe Fineman and Ego Nwodim joined him. Serving as his back singers, the ladies wore sequin dresses which helped to complete his hilarious callback after fifteen years.

During his monologue, Jake also talked about his reputation for being a "serious, intense method actor" and how he's hoping to change that going forward. "The truth is, I was only doing that method stuff because I thought that's what you had to do to be a serious actor, and I kind of forgot how to have fun," he explained.

"That's when I realized something I should have realized a long time ago: acting is a really stupid job. It's pretend. And it's fun and it should be filled with joy," he added. "Well, I'm finally embracing that joy again."
