AceShowbiz - Summer Walker has one more reason to hit headlines. The "Still Over It" artist has left Internet users baffled after she showed off her new shaved hairstyle on Wednesday, February 2.
Making use of Instagram, the 25-year-old singer shared some photos of herself with her new hairdo. The pictures showed her shaving the majority of her hair off and leaving enough for a ponytail of braids. "legit wanted this hairstyle my whole life," she captioned the post.
Summer received mixed reactions after debuting her new look. Many poked fun at the musician with one person likening her to Genie from "Aladdin". Another user, meanwhile, wondered, "now what the hell is this."
"In Summer Walker's case, I think we have to agree to separate the art from the artist," a different user opined. Someone else quipped, "her and [Kanye West] got the same barber." One other person commented, "i tried to hold in my laugh so bad."
Some others, however, defended the "White Tee" songstress. "One thing about Summer Walker… shawty gone do whatever the hell she want to. Hate it or love it, I gotta respect it. The new hairstyle came a few months after Summer and her boyfriend LVRD Pharoh debuted their face tattoos that bear each other's names. She gave fans a look at their new body arts through a series of PDA-filled pictures of her and Larry. In the accompaniment of the post, she simply gushed, "Bestfriend."
