Paramount+ has released the first trailer for the 10-episode limited series, which is about the 'never-before-seen experiences of making 1972's 'The Godfather'.'

AceShowbiz - Paramount+ has an incredible offer for "The Godfather" fans. On Tuesday, February 1, the network released the first trailer for "The Offer", a 10-episode limited series about the "never-before-seen experiences of making 'The Godfather'."

In the new footage, producer Albert S. Ruddy (Miles Teller) can be seen looking so eager to make a movie based on a 1969 novel of the same name. It, however, is not easy as he is hit with many roadblocks, including threats of shutting his film down which come from music icon Frank Sinatra, along the way.

"Gangster movies are dead," says Barry Lapidus, played by Colin Hanks. Despite that, Ruddy is fully determined to make his vision a reality. "If I say I'm going to handle something, I'm going to handle it," he says.

Created by Michael Tolkin, "The Offer" was first announced in 2020 with actor Armie Hammer among the original cast. The "Call Me by Your Name" actor exited the project in January 2021 amid sexual abuse and assaults scandal.

Ahead of the show's spring premiere, Tolkin previously gushed over Ruddy's determination. "Al has the most brilliant combination of tenacity and taste," Tolkin told Vanity Fair last month of Ruddy, who also serves as the executive producer for the new series. "With all the forces against him, he moved steadily ahead, protecting the film's vision, not his own ego."

He also teased that "for every character in the film, getting it made or stopping it from being made was at the core of their actions." He added, "It was a matter of life and death to them. So that's not a gangster story, that's a human story. That's what gave the book and the movie so much power. Everyone is fighting for their existence."

Also starring Matthew Goode as Robert Evans, Juno Temple as Bettye McCartt, Giovanni Ribisi as Joe Colombo, Dan Fogler as Francis Ford Coppola, Burn Gorman as Charles Bluhdorn and Patrick Gallo as Mario Puzo, "The Offer" is expected to arrive on April 28 on Paramount+.
