According to FBI, the late YouTuber's fiance Brian admitted to be responsible for her death in a notebook that he left before committing suicide last year.

AceShowbiz - Gabby Petito a.k.a. Gabrielle Petito's family has finally received the closure surrounding their daughter's death. According to FBI, Gabby's fiance Brian Laundrie admitted to be responsible for her death in a notebook that he left before committing suicide.

"A review of the notebook revealed written statements by Mr. Laundrie claiming responsibility for Ms. Petito's death," the FBI's Denver Field Office said in a statement released on Friday, January 21. The notebook was discovered last October in Florida's Myakkahatchee Creek Environmental Park near Brian's remains.

"All logical investigative steps have been concluded in this case," the statement continued. "The investigation did not identify any other individuals other than Brian Laundrie directly involved in the tragic death of Gabby Petito."

In response to the discovery, Gabby's parents showed gratitude to the FBI and state and local authorities. "We truly appreciate the FBI’s diligent and painstaking efforts in this extremely complicated case," the Petitos said through their attorney, Rick Stafford. "The quality and quantity of the facts and information collected by the FBI leave no doubt that Brian Laundrie murdered Gabby."

Gabby and Brian went on a cross-country road trip in Gabby's white van last June which the couple documented for their YouTube account. However, Brian quietly returned to his parents' home in North Port, Florida alone on September 1. Ten days later, Gabby's family reported her missing, with the Laundries refusing to cooperate with authorities.

A week later, Laundrie's parents revealed that their son had gone missing too.

Gabby's body was discovered in Grand Teton National Park on September 19. County coroner declared that her death was ruled as a homicide and her cause of death was strangulation.

As the search for Brian continued, his remains were found in the Florida nature park alongside his backpack and notebook.
