In addition to premiering on Netflix, upcoming documentary 'jeen-yuhs: A Kanye Trilogy' will get a nationwide release in theaters from Iconic Event on February 10.

AceShowbiz - The first look at Kanye West's documentary "jeen-yuhs: A Kanye Trilogy" is here for viewing pleasure. Unveiled on Monday, January 10, the first teaser for the upcoming Netflix documentary shows a glimpse of Ye's journey to his current success.

The clip opens with Kanye in New York in 2002. "I got Coodie on the camera," the rapper says, adding, "Rhymefest right there." He goes on to say that he and his fellow rapper get into an argument over Fest's comment on him.

"Me and Fest got into an argument in the car. I feel like he disrespected me. Tried to say I wasn't a genius," Kanye explains, to which Fest responds, "But who are you to call yourself a genius?"

Also featured in the teaser is footage of Kanye working on music and performing alongside other musicians, including Jay-Z and Pharrell Williams. "Very rarely do you encounter self-contained people," Pharrell raves. "This man can do everything himself. He livin' it."

The movie, which has been over 20 years in the making, chronicles Ye's formative days trying to break out through his life today as a globally recognized brand and enigmatic artist. It has also been revealed that "jeen-yuhs: A Kanye Trilogy" will get a nationwide release in theaters from Iconic Event on February 10.

"For any fan or student of music today, this documentary is a must-see event and should be experienced in a movie theater with state-of-the-art sound systems," said Iconic Events Releasing CEO Steve Bunnell. "Few artists or businessmen have had a greater impact on worldwide popular culture than Kanye West over the last 20 years. 'jeen-yuhs' is a film that offers rare and compelling insight into his world."

"jeen-yuhs: A Kanye Trilogy" will also be available for streaming during a three-week global event beginning on February 16 on Netflix.
