AceShowbiz - Jessica Simpson opened up about her scary and painful experience when she gave birth to her third child, Birdie. In a new interview with Bloomberg Businessweek, the singer said her condition was so bad that she was put on a breathing machine at the time.

"Her [Birdie] oxygen levels were dropping. I couldn't breathe," Jessica shared. "I was 260 pounds. She was a very big baby. We were like, 'Just take her out.' "

Much to her relief, doctors were able to stabilize Birdie, who was born via C-section and weighed in at 10 pounds, 13 ounces on March 19, 2019. Birdie, who is now 2, joins her sister Maxwell and brother Ace.

Just a few months prior to giving birth to Birdie, the 41-year-old took to Instagram and shared a photo of her severely swollen feet, asking her fans for any remedies. She then revealed that she revealed that she had more health issues, including a month of sciatica pain, in addition to a lot of anxiety and insomnia.

It wasn't the first time for Jessica to get candid about her pregnancy difficulties with Birdie. Calling it "the pregnancy from hell," she wrote in her 2020 memoir "Open Book" that thankfully the pain dissipated following Birdie's birth.

The proud mom also penned a touching tribute to Birdie on her first birthday. "You have created in me a healing purposeful life to live most fully and love most deeply. With you my soul has been set free to the beauty of pure light," she wrote on Instagram at the time. "You guide me to shine because your heartbeat connected me to mine. Sweet baby girl, you have illuminated all of our worlds with your bright mystical star-bursting smile. I am forever yours, you are forever mine."
