AceShowbiz - Future continued to be a target of Internet users. After he misspelled Joie Chavis' name while thanking her for a lavish Christmas gift, the "Way 2 Sexy" rapper found himself being called out by his online devotees.
Taking to Instagram Story over the weekend, the 38-year-old emcee shared a video of him showing off a diamond-encrusted "Hndrxx" bracelet. Alongside the footage, he wrote, "Thanks Joy," adding one red heart emoji.
Many have since slammed Future for the typo. "That's not even how she spells her name," one user argued, while another fumed, "He didn't even spell her name right Lord." A third individual chimed in, "He could have atleast spelled her name right."
It's unclear whether "Joy" is Future's nickname for Joie, with whom he shares three-year-old son Hendrix. However, some Instagram users noticed that Joie herself wrote "Joy" on her Instagram bio. "Y'all confused on if it's her cause he said Joy. She has Joy in her bio," one person in particular explained, before adding, "either way I ain't buying no ex no diamonds ESPECIALLY if it's Future."
Others also believed that Joie did way too much for Future considering that he once declared that he never loved her. "Not after he said he never loved her," one user commented, with someone else echoing, "girl didn't he say he never loved u??"
Future made the statement during an argument with his other baby mama, Brittni Mealy. In audio leaked by Brittni in August, the "High Off Life" artist could be heard saying, "I don't look at Joie like I look at you... Me and Joie always been friends, super cool. Like, don't even know that me and her was just always been super cool to the point where we still could be cool right now."
"I don't look at her like someone I love, I never loved her like that, she know that," Ciara's ex-fiance elaborated further. "I never loved her, I never been like, told her 'I love you.' You know what I'm sayin'? I never told this girl, I never told Joie 'I love you' but we had a good a** friendship. You know what I mean? I ain't never tell her I love her... I love you."
Joie seemingly didn't care about their drama though. The Instagram model, who also shares one kid with Bow Wow, recently was linked romantically to Sean "P. Diddy" Combs. They sparked romance rumors in September after being pictured packing on PDAs while on board a yacht in Ibiza.
