His remarks spark heated discussion on Twitter with one disagreeing with the 'Blueprint' artist as one user writes, 'Michael Jackson was on an entirely different level. He did all of this without the presence of social media.'

AceShowbiz - Jay-Z apparently believes that his wife Beyonce Knowles is as great as pop icon Michael Jackson. While speaking in a discussion on Twitter Spaces with Alicia Keys on Tuesday night, December 21, the rapper discussed the matter.

"Bey's gonna be mad at this for saying this but Michael Jackson never had a Coachella, she's an evolution of him because she watched him at 9. And [the kids are] the same," Hov opined. "Find me a concert that's as culturally relevant and thrilling as Coachella."

"@Beyonce is gonna be one of the best singers we ever heard because she is such a student," he doubled down on his statement.

His remarks sparked heated discussion on Twitter with one disagreeing with Jay-Z. "Whose culture is the question? If we're talking relevance to black culture, that ain't on the list, no matter what hbcu themed performance B puts together. Coachella is a white space. It's not summer jam, roots picnic, or powerhouse to us," the person said.

"I don't agree what jay z just said on the spaces Beyonce is not on Michael Jackson level, never will be," someone added. "Michael Jackson was on an entirely different level. He did all of this without the presence of social media, Apple Music, YouTube and Spotify."

Another fan of the "Smooth Criminal" singer noted, "Michael Jackson didn't need a COACHELLA, period. He setting his own wife up, leave them both alone. Beyoncr is super talented and inspirational Beyonce. And Michael Jackson is Michael Jackson."

"Ok, now he done lost his damn mind. Michael didn't need a Coachella. Bey is and icon, but Jay, come on now," another comment read. Someone sarcastically added, "This is laughable but it’s his opinion…"

Some others, meanwhile, defended Jay-Z. "I'd say the same thing I’d she was my wife!!! He did right!! She is also the truth," one user said. Another person said, "He basically said stop playing with his wife."
