When confirming their split, the Oppenheim Group founder points out that he and the 'Selling Sunset' star 'have different wants regarding a family' that lead to their separation.

AceShowbiz - Chrishell Stause and Jason Oppenheim have called it quits. After confirming their separation in a statement posted on Jason's social media account, the "Selling Sunset" star and her boss will "remain best friends."

On Tuesday, December 21, The Oppenheim Group founder took to his Instagram Story to announce their split. "While Chrishell and I are no longer together, we remain best friends and we will always love and support one another," wrote the 44-year-old.

"She was the most amazing girlfriend I've ever had, and it was the happiest and most fulfilling relationship of my life," Jason gushed. He went on to add, "While we have different wants regarding a family, we continue to have the utmost respect for one another." He then concluded his post as saying, "Chrishell is an exceptional human being and loving her and having her in my life is one of the best things that has ever happened to me."

Jason and Chrishell confirmed they were dating back in July. A month later, Chrishell stated that they had actually begun their romantic relationship a couple of months prior to the announcement.

At the time, Chrishell said that she and Jason had been "really private and secretive for as long as [they] could until [they] realized the walls were closing in. People were getting a little savvy to it." She also noted that they had avoided sharing the romance publicly as they feared that other people's opinions would influence their romance.

In November, Chrishell herself revealed that she was the "happiest" she's ever been since dating Jason. "So you have your small group of people that you end up, you know, hanging out with and, you know, it just kind of happened where I think what started as something that was a little, you know, just going to be really light and … nothing [serious], it just really took a turn," she shared at the time. "And it really kind of surprised both of us [with] what we kind of saw for the future and I think it was obviously a pleasant surprise."

For his part, Jason explained that he wasn't sure how serious their relationship was when it first started. "Even [after we got together], I don't think we were…taking it very seriously than either. So, it was definitely an interesting process," he said in November.
