The reality television star talks about her argument with husband over his pro-Donald Trump hat and answers a question about her favorite 'Saturday Night Live' cast member.

AceShowbiz - Kim Kardashian continued to have good words for her ex Kanye West despite their differences over the years. In a new podcast interview, she praised the rapper for being "commendable" for insisting he wear his pro-Donald Trump hat on "Saturday Night Live" despite knowing he would be scorned by many.

The "MAGA" hat sparked a heated argument between Kim and Kanye back in 2018. She admitted to podcaster Bari Weiss she was worried about the backlash, "I was very nervous. I didn't want him to wear the red hat."

She said she was not really keen to go against the current, "I'm not really a rule breaker, so my personality would be like, 'OK, you guys don't like the red hat? I'll take it off.' "

She recalled her row with then-husband, "I remember other people were around and it became a thing where he wasn't going to go on because he wanted to be who he is."

Insisting she's "very neutral" when it came to politics, she regretted what happened, "That night I was very forceful with him, and argued with him like, 'You have to take that hat off.' "

She explained people should stay true to themselves and should not be forced to hide their beliefs, "And now looking back, I think, why should he take that off if that's what he believes in? Why can't he wear that on TV? Half of the country voted for him, so clearly other people like him."

During the interview, the "Keeping Up with the Kardashians" star was also asked about her favorite "SNL" comic amid her heated romance with Pete Davidson. "What a setup, what a setup, Bari," the mother of four replied before coyly adding, "You know who it is."
