The 'On the Floor' singer is reportedly appalled she was dragged into the controversy following boyfriend's candid interview about his marriage failure and alcohol addiction.

AceShowbiz - Jennifer Lopez was allegedly not happy with on-again boyfriend Ben Affleck following his candid interview about his failed marriage and drinking problem. The "On the Floor" hitmaker was frustrated that she was implicated by the mess after the actor blamed his alcohol addiction on an unhappy marriage to Jennifer Garner.

"[Lopez] is pissed," a source told PageSix. "She is getting pulled into this because she is dating him. She doesn't want to be dragged into this."

The insider claimed J.Lo just wanted everyone to get along. "She has met Jennifer Garner. She is trying to get to know her and Ben's kids," the source added, calling Ben "reckless and cavalier."

However, another informant disputed the reports, "This is simply not true." They insisted there's no such drama because "the focus is on the children."

Ben Affleck previously suggested he became alcoholic because he was stuck in an unhappy marriage to Jennifer and seemingly credited his 2018 divorce for saving him from spiraling with his addiction.

"We probably would've ended up at each other's throats. I probably still would've been drinking," he reflected on his marriage struggle. "Part of why I started drinking was because I was trapped."

"I was like, 'I can't leave because of my kids, but I'm not happy, what do I do?' And what I did was [I] drank a bottle of scotch and fell asleep on the couch, which turned out not to be the solution."

He also set the record straight on the rumors he cheated with the baby sitter, "Everything you read [in the news about the divorce] was bulls**t. The truth was we took our time, we made our decision … We grew apart. We had a marriage that didn't work. This happens. She's somebody I love and respect, but to whom I shouldn't be married any longer."

It took Ben more than a decade to finally get back together with J.Lo because he was unsure, especially after seeing the intense media scrutiny over his love life. "It crossed my mind for sure," he admitted.

As a father, he had to take his family into consideration when it came to dating, "My responsibility to my children is the highest responsibility I have, so I'm not going to do anything that's painful or destructive to them if I can help it."
