AceShowbiz - Sad news came from Faith Evans' family. The "Something About Faith" singer revealed on Instagram her brother had passed away while posting a picture of them together.

She paid tribute to her late relative in a heartfelt note, "my dear brother Uncle Brad. May your soul rest well. So many great memories & good times! I'll be hanging like a hair in a biscuit until we meet again."

She concluded, "Sending prayers & love to Ms Glenda and your family."

Besides dealing with the loss of her family member, Faith Evans is battling estranged husband Stevie J in court. She was served with divorce papers by him last month. He filed for spousal support and demanded his estranged wife pay for his attorney fees.

Faith Evans wanted the judge overseeing their divorce proceedings to deny his request. She also asked to keep her assets including "all property acquired prior to marriage, by gift, inheritance, or devise and after date of separation."

Despite their split after three years of marriage, the pair still spent time together. She even shared videos from their beach trip.

They are also rumored to spend upcoming holidays together. "It's true, they are spending the holidays together. Their family, everyone, all the kids. Everyone gets along," a source told PEOPLE. "It's not a dysfunctional family. It's just Stevie's never been married - and he married Faith."

Faith Evans and Stevie J tied the knot in 2018 without a big fanfare. They swapped vows in a private ceremony inside a Las Vegas hotel room. Before calling it quits, she was arrested on a suspicion of domestic violence against Stevie J.

There were also infidelity rumors. A video showed Stevie accusing Faith Evans of cheating on him. He later apologized claiming the footage was taken from a computer stolen from his house.

They didn't have kids together, but both have children from previous relationships.
