Meanwhile, the 'Masked Singer' host's ex-wife Mariah Carey has reportedly expressed her 'deepest and most sincere condolences for the loss' of his son in private.

AceShowbiz - Alyssa Scott has finally released her first statement on her baby son's passing. Taking to her Instagram account on Thursday, December 9, the grieving mother opened up about how "painful" it is every time she gets reminded that 5-month-old Zen is no longer with her.

"Oh my sweet Zen," she wrote along with compilation footage of her late son. "The soreness I felt in my arm from holding you is slowly fading away. It's a painful reminder that you are no longer here. I caught myself looking in the backseat as I was driving only to see the mirror no longer reflecting your perfect face back at me. When I close a door too loudly I hold my breath and wince knowing a soft cry will shortly follow. It doesn't come. The silence is deafening."

The model then recalled her short time with her baby boy, "These last 5 months we have been in this race together. We would hand the baton off to each other. You kept me going. It would be the middle of the night and you would smile at me. A surge of energy would fill my body and pure joy would radiate from within me. We were a team, both determined to see it through."

"It feels unbearable running without you now. I can't," Alyssa lamented. "And in this moment I feel myself being carried. By your sister.. By God. By complete strangers encouraging me to not give up. It has been an honor and privilege being your mommy.. I will love you for eternity." She ended the caption with the dates of Zen's birth and his death, "6•23•21 - 12•5•21."

The pain is apparently also felt by Nick Cannon's ex-wife Mariah Carey. According to a new report by HollywoodLife.com, the singer "has reached out to Nick in private to express her deepest and most sincere condolences for the loss of his son."

It is very unlikely that Mariah will address Nick's painful loss in public as a source told the site, "She is not expected to say anything about it publicly and she will not discuss it if asked about it because Mariah prefers to keep these types of matters private."

The source added of how the R&B diva perceives Nick as a father, "Nick plays an active role in the lives of Monroe and Moroccan and he is a good father. For the time that Zen was alive, Mariah knows that Nick gave that boy all of the love in the world because that is the kind of man he is when it comes to his kids."

Nick broke the news of his youngest child's passing on Tuesday, December 7 on his show "The Nick Cannon Show". He revealed the baby, who was his only child together with Alyssa, died after suffering Hydrocephalus, which he described as a "pretty much a malignant, midline brain tumor."

Hours after the show aired, Alyssa shared a video of one of her latest moments with her late son. In the clip, the infant was cooing as the model asked him off-camera, "Hi, can you say, 'Good morning, Daddy?' Can you say, 'I love you?' " She then told her son that his dad "loves you too."
